Frequently Asked Questions
Please read our FAQs page to find out more.
How can I tell if my current alarm(s) are 240v?
If the smoke alarms are receiving 240v power, there should be a separate visible solid indicator light. If you are unsure, speak to one team – we’re here to help!
Can I remove a 240v smoke alarm and replace it with a 10 yr battery powered alarm?
No. Existing smoke alarms connected to a 240v power supply must be replaced with a 240v alarm and hardwired accordingly.
How long will my order take to arrive?
Australia Post standard parcel service is 2-6 business days.
Do I require and electrician to install my smoke alarms?
If you have purchased a 240v alarm to be added to your Home Pack, Yes. These alarms must be installed by your local electrician. Otherwise, all other alarms can be installed by the homeowner.
Do I need to provide a certificate if I am selling my home?
No. QLD sellers are required to ensure smoke alarms are compliant with the current legislation prior to completion of the house sale. Once installation is complete, you can mark off the appropriate section of your Sales Contract and Form 24.
